Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to P.E. for the 2020 school year. This is a very different year for all of us, please understand that we are working together to keep everyone safe while your child is at school. If students are in the gym for class, masks will need to be worn; if we are outside for P.E. students will be expected to maintain a safe social distance, but will not have to wear masks during the activities outside, as long as they can maintain social distance. Please be sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the heat or for cooler weather as the season progresses. On P.E. day please be sure that your child is wearing sneakers (preferably shoes that they can tie on their own), has a water bottle (either one that they bring from home or one that remains at school), and sunscreen if needed. Again, we are taking precautions to keep your child safe, including wearing masks, sanitizing any equipment used, and washing and/or sanitizing hands before and after P.E. If we are in the gym, students will be sanitizing their hands and will be masked, and will be as socially distant as space allows. Thank you so much for your patience and cooperation this year.
Sincerely, Coach De BRY

DID YOU KNOW?
Why Physical Activity?
Studies have shown that movement increases brain activity and has been linked with higher test scores. Physical Activity and movement in the classroom can help stimulate students brains and help them learn while at school. This is a visual representation of the brain after sitting quietly for 20 minutes and the brain after being active. |
